3G Data Offload*

Currently under a development stage, BIT aims to deliver the most powerful and innovative 3G Data Offload concept throughout the Jakarta city that compliments the 3G service currently provided by the mobile network operators.

Mobile Network Operators have long recognized Wi-Fi as a potential means of adding wireless capacity by leveraging low-cost access points and free spectrum.

BIT’s 3G Data Offload concept aims to allow cellular mobile operators to manage mobile broadband data traffic in smart ways, without the constraints of the core network architecture. 3G Data Offload seamlessly intercepts mobile data sessions and routes the traffic direct to the internet. This enables the operator to avoid costly and unnecessary core network infrastructure upgrades, while providing a conduit to enhance service delivery and gain better subscriber insight.
